Signing the MoU on Saveetha University premises 

The National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore, premier law school in India and Saveetha University, Chennai entered into a Memorandum of Understanding. (on Wednesday, 14/10/2015). The MoU was signed recently at Saveetha university premises by  Vice-Chancellor of NLSIU Prof. Dr. R. Venkata Rao and the Vice-Chancellor of Saveetha University Dr. Mythili Bhaskaran in the presence of Dr. N.M. Veeraiyan, the Hon’ble Chancellor of Saveetha University, Dr. Rajagopal, Advisor of Saveetha University and Prof. Dr. R. Anita Rao, Director, Saveetha School of Law.
NLSIU situated in Bangalore was established in the year 1987 under the National Law School of India Act (Karnataka Act 22 of 1986) with the Chief Justice of India as its Chancellor. It is the first and the only law university fully supported by the Bar Council of India and the Bench. Saveetha University situated in Chennai was declared as “Deemed to be University” under Sec. 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 in the year 2005 offers various Medical and Technical Courses namely Dental, Medicine, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Engineering, Management and Law.
Saveetha University has desired to establish academic collaboration with Institutions of Excellence in Law in India and NLSIU is one among such recognized institutions for the purpose of Academic Collaboration that will encompass exchange of students and members of faculty between both the universities besides other academic activities, research and publication.

The Memorandum of Understanding ensures co-operation in building intellectual, teaching, training and research capacity and research scholarship in Law, whereby faculty members from each of the universities would be invited for important seminars, conferences and for teaching at doctoral level and Ph.D. Scholars would be able to make use of the library resources of each other and to have academic interaction with the faculty.

No.1504083689. admitted under Unit – I,Saveetha Medical College(Dr.Asha Moorthy)for paroxysmal supra ventricular  tachycardia underwent EP study with RFV puncture plus internal jugular vein puncture  Inducible typical AVNRT.  successful   Radio ablation  his rhythm converted   to sinus rhythm. Patient is fine recovering well in ICU. Done under CM SCHEME

Mrs. Shanthi 35 year/ F Ip.No.1509300193. admitted under Unit - I , saveetha Medical College ( Dr.Asha Moorthy) with WPW syndrome AV nodal  reententrant  tachycardia underwent EPS study with RFV puncture plus internal jugular vein puncture  WPW syndrome right  postero  septal pathway typical AVNRT.  successful Radio ablation  his rhythm converted  to sinus rhythm. Patient is fine recovering well in ICU. Done under CM SCHEME.

 “EARLY IDENTIFICATION AND PREVENTION OF ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE”





The mental health Nursing department Saveetha College of Nursing organized a continuing nursing education on “EARLY IDENTIFICATION AND PREVENTION OF ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE”. The programme started at 9.15am with Tamil Thai Vaazthu followed by welcome address. Totally 130 registrants have attended CNE programme. The registrants were from Saveetha College of Nursing(79), Saveetha College faculties(18) and Saveetha Medical College and Hospital Nursing staffs(20). The first session of the programme on “Prevalence and Impact of Alzheimer’s Disease” by Dr.Selvaraj Assistant Professor, Department of Psychiatric, Saveetha Medical College and Hospital. B. Sc nursing students cleared their doubts from Dr. Selvaraj after his session. The next session on “The Earlier the   Better: Advancements in Alzheimer’s Disease detection and early prevention” by Dr.Fabiola, Principal, Arulmigu Meenakshi Collge of  Nursing, Kancheepuram. The third session on “Nurses Role in Home Care Management of Patients with Alzheimer’s Disease” by Mrs.S.Sujithra, Assistant Professor, Saveetha College of Nursing, Saveetha University, Thandalam. The fourth session on “Cognitive Training: A Hands on Training  Session “ by Mr. Dhinakaran Lecturer, in Clinical Psychology, Saveetha Medical College and Hospital, Chennai. The afternoon session by Mr.Alfered Solomon, Clinical Instructor, Saveetha College of Nursing, on “Myths about Alzheimer’s Disease”. The programme came to end with valedictory function.
